最出色的特点是丰盛的花和秋季的果实。树形开展，枝条顶端下垂。红色花蕾，浅粉色花最终变成白色，花芳香、量大。果实小、亮红色，宿存至冬季。秋叶金黄色。

Prized for its profuse blooms and fall fruits, Malus × zumi 'Calocarpa' is a dense deciduous tree of graceful spreading habit with weeping branch tips. Opening from red buds, abundant clusters of fragrant, soft pink blossoms, eventually fading to white, appear in late spring before the new leaves. The blooms are followed by crops of conspicuous, glossy, small, bright red fruits which mature in the fall and often persist into winter, if not first eaten by birds. The summer canopy of oval green leaves warms up to golden shades in the fall.
